Family Medicine

As a partner with patients in providing physical, emotional, and spiritual health care, Mary Strubhar-Brown has honored her nursing commitment for over 25 years.  Her experience as a RN, in both the acute hospital and medical clinic environment, along with an extensive background and former certification in Psychiatric Nursing, has prepared her to meet the diverse needs of patients in the Family Practice setting.  As a Nurse Practitioner, she endeavors to treat the whole person and not just the illness.  Her focus is on health promotion and disease prevention.  She provides educational counseling and guidance for patients in making positive health and lifestyle changes.  Her goal is to assist patients in achieving their best health status.

Mary completed her Nursing Diploma from West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing, in Oak Park, IL, and her BSN degree from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA.  She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Program and MSN degree from UCLA School of Nursing, Los Angeles, CA.  She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau, Honor Society of Nurses, California Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.

Mary has worked with Dr. Rashidi in a collaborative role since the year 2000.  As a member of the Women’s View Team, she especially values her colleagues and staff, as well as the therapeutic relationships she has developed with patients and their families.  Her desire for each patient is that “in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers."
